A star in your windshield?
windshield repair
When repairing the windshield, it comes down to covering the impact along the outside with tape as soon as possible. A star is a break that is located on the outer layer of the windshield which consists of three layers.
We recommend scheduling an appointment as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more likely the impact will remain visible, even with a repaired window. When repairing a break-in, we strive to make the break as strong as possible so that it will not break through afterwards. If this does happen, the repair that has already been paid for will be settled when we install a new windshield.
To be able to repair the window, the impact must be at least 5cm from the edge, and it must be smaller than a 2 euro coin. Please note that a repair remains visible afterwards, therefore it is not a new windshield.
